WE OFFER ASSISTANCE IN MANY FORMS

Whether you are a first responder, health care provider, teacher, social worker or community volunteer, "Mental Health First Aid” training teaches valuable skills to provide assistance should you encounter a person with a mental health problem or someone who is experiencing a mental health crisis.

The training you receive will enable you to provide assistance and de-escalate a situation until help can arrive or until the crisis is resolved.

Agency director, Lori Floyd, is a certified instructor for this course which is offered, free of charge, to groups, clubs or organizations of any size.

Rapid Re-Housing Program

We can assist in finding accommodation through our Rapid Re-Housing program, providing long or short-term financial assistance and support to each individual to maintain housing.

Tenant Based Rental Assistance (TBRA)

Through TBRA, eligible clients will receive financial assistance with the first month's rent, deposit, or short-term assistance to prevent eviction. Clients must live in Calhoun County (exceptions: Oxford and Ohatchee)

Housing Opportunity for People With AIDS (HOPWA)

This program allows those with an HIV+ diagnosis, who are struggling with housing and qualify for assistance to receive help with rent and utilities.

HOW YOU CAN HELP

GO HERE for a list of needed items you or your family, your church group, business, civic organization or school club can provide to the homeless.

Hillside Cottages is a tiny home community providing permanent supportive housing to low-income individuals. Property goes to those experiencing chronic homelessness. All units are based on Housing First guidelines and income-based rent.

Agency-Owned Duplex

We provide a housing option in the form of a family unit. Our Duplex is a mirrored unit of two bedrooms, one bath, and rent is income-based. These two units are designed for small families in need of supportive services and affordable housing.
